Forest bathing

Background
Why forest bathing?
Perhaps you have already felt how good it is to be outside on a walk in the forest or somewhere else in nature?
Forest bathing helps you to find your own way of regularly integrating nature into your everyday life in a way that promotes health.
The greatest benefit for you is relaxation and recuperation.
The many shades of green and brown have a calming effect on us humans.
Green stands for growth and development and is a life-affirming color that triggers happiness hormones.
Brown is the color of nature, is the symbol of the earth and stands for stability.
Your blood pressure drops and your breathing slows down.
The activity of the sympathetic stress nerve is reduced and the parasympathetic resting nerve is activated.
The stress hormones adrenaline, noradrenaline and cortisol decrease.
The forest also has a very positive effect on our immune system, in which the natural killer cells (NK) multiply and their activity increases.
In addition, the anti-cancer proteins increase.
Procedure
What can you expect from forest bathing?
We meet at 9.00 a.m. in 66987 Höhfröschen at the sports field. You can also park there.
Together we walk through the beautiful Palatinate Forest between Höhfröschen and Thaleischweiler-Fröschen. The route itself is classified as “easy” and can be completed by anyone without physical limitations.
By immersing yourself unintentionally in the forest atmosphere, you will get to know nature better. Under guidance, you will use all your senses “again” and learn to feel yourself. Brief theoretical content will help you to better understand the effect of the forest and sharpen your mindfulness.
